JetStream FRC#2710 is a community-based FRC team founded in November 2017. Student team members hail from several public and private high schools and home school programs in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. The team has its own non-profit (503c3) status which allows us to receive financial sponsorship directly and be able to purchase necessary building materials in a timely manner.
Early Years
Originally, JetStream 2710 was a division of The Muskwa Club, Inc. Their non-profit status gave the team the opportunity to receive much needed donations that it depended on to get started and participate in FRC competitions.
The Muskwa Club, Inc. promotes awareness of endangered species, particularly the Vaquita.
Because of this association, JetStream 2710 has assisted in getting the word out to STEM/Robotics audiences by:
Later on, JetStream 2710 gained its own non-profit status and continued to work out of a lead mentor's garage.
Present
We are fortunate to work within a local robotics space rented out by the team as of the 2023 season.
Our mission is to provide a fun and nurturing environment for aspiring young minds to learn and hone their business and engineering skills and to pass these skills on to the next generation.
